You know, there’s one thing the devil isn’t banking on in our lives and that’s joy during problems, joy in offence, joy during sickness, joy in financial trouble, joy in slander, or joy in persecution.
He thinks if he can feed us enough bad, negative, awful trouble we’ll give into it. But we won’t.
Since Jesus prayed that we would experience His joy.
John 17:13 Father, I’m coming back to you. I say these things while I’m still in the world so that they will have the same joy that I have.
He died for our joy.
Hebrews 12:2 For the joy that was set before Him endured the cross.
And God put His nature of joy in us.
Galatians 5:22 The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace.
How can we be depressed, or complain, be offended, sad, or mad?
Everything we have experienced, are experiencing and will experience Jesus has already experienced it, He took it upon His body and His mind and paid for it. All the sickness, disease, poverty, pain, suffering, stress, depression, confusion and crazy, it’s all paid in full by Jesus. It’s no longer for us to experience. It’s as though it never was.
