Hebrews 11:1 Faith assures us of things we expect and convinces us of the existence of things we cannot see.
Some say, “How can I believe something I can’t see? How can you believe something you can see? Well, it’s there. That’s not believing. You can see it, you can touch it, it’s too late for faith. The only way you could believe it is if you don’t see it yet.”
What is faith? The substance of things expected.
If it’s sitting in the driveway is that faith? No, it’s there. If it’s in your pocket, are you expecting it? No, it’s there. If it’s there and you’re not expecting it, you can see it, it’s too late for faith.
Faith is the substance, reality, assurance, confidence, trust of things we expect and the evidence, proof, certainty of things we can’t see but do exist.
So, if it’s faith it’s not seen and not yet in this realm. It’s now in your heart but not yet out here. You see it by faith in your heart but not yet with your physical eyes.
That’s what faith is believing something you cannot see.
