Expectation

Romans 8:24b-25 If we hope (expect) for something we already see, it’s not really hope. Who hopes for what can be seen? 25 But if we hope for what we don’t see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

Being in faith puts you in a state of expecting. Whatever you’re believing for you’re going to expect, be persuaded until you see it. If you already have it, feel it, see it you wouldn’t have to believe for it.

What do you do when you don’t see it, don’t feel it, when you can’t figure it out, and you don’t have it? That’s where faith comes in, we believe we receive it.

I believe I receive my healing. You don’t look healed. That’s why I’m believing it.

I believe I receive the money to pay my bills. Well, I don’t see it, that’s why I’m believing for it.

We believed God heard our prayer; we believe He granted our request. We believe we receive it by faith. So, after we say amen, we thank Him for it. It hasn’t happened yet, so we’re expecting by faith.
