My Testimony

My daughter and I lived in a house for several years that wasn’t ours. One day the owner of the house called and said, “I’m going to put the house up for sale.” I replied, “OK.”

I told my daughter the situation and said, “We must find a place to live.” So, we started looking. We looked at houses and apartments in our area and collected the information.

I told her we were going to sow a seed into this house.  We were going to make this house be so sellable it would be sold in a few months. We began to update the two bathrooms with a new shower, tub, vanities, fixtures, floors and new linen closet doors.

We staged the whole house with new bedspreads, painted several rooms, painted the kitchen cabinets, new décor throughout the house, built a rock patio and painted patio furniture.

The house did sell in just a couple of months. Before we moved out, I told my daughter to call one of the apartments. I said, “Ask if they have one facing the woods?” She called and they did. They asked her if we wanted to come see it. She said, “Yes.”

We left immediately to see it. When we walked into the apartment, I knew it was ours. I told the man we wanted it.  He took us back to the office where the manager already had the paperwork drawn up.  It took 30 minutes to get our new apartment.

So, by respecting the homeowner and updating the house, we sowed into that house and reaped a new apartment.
