Isaiah 41:10 says, Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
No one can blame people for being afraid.
But as Christians we are of another order. Don’t we claim a place in God above the uncertainties of time and chance where the sons and daughters of this world are caught? Haven’t we been given prophecies of things to come? Can anything take us unaware?
Surely Bible-believing Christians should be the last people on earth to give way to chaos. We are redeemed by an all-powerful God, and our future is safe. God has promised to support us, protect us, feed us, shield us and hide us in His secret place.
Always in God’s strength will be the assurance that all is well. Nothing can separate us from the love of God – not death, or life, or height, or depth, or any other created thing.
A fearful church cannot help a scared world. Christians are in the secret place of safety so we must talk and act like it. We are calm, hopeful, peaceful and happy. We will never convince a scared world of peace if we continue to have the same fears. This world is full of darkness, but a Christian should not be afraid of anything.
Joshua 1:5-6 says, No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage.
