Luke 10:19 says I have given you authority over all the power of the Enemy.

As we enter the New Year, the devil will have plenty of distractions in attempt to stop us from our plans. But we can resist him and put the devil in his place! Say, "Fear and doubt I resist you in the Name of Jesus.” Determine to walk in love and to forgive. That's how you keep the door closed to the devil.

You have authority over the devil because Jesus gave it to you.  You won't run from the devil any longer - you'll put him on the run! Now, he'll be afraid of you because you know who you are in Christ. You know you can keep the door closed to the devil and be strong in the power of Jesus Christ because you have authority over the enemy.
