Faithfulness April 5, 2021

Ephesians 2:13-16 says, 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. 14 For He Himself is our peace and has broken down the middle wall of separation, 15 having abolished in His flesh the enmity of the law, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, 16 and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross.

Because of Jesus’ faithfulness:

We were saved, forgiven, healed, loved, graced, empowered, and restored “in Christ.” Just as “in Christ” God caught all of us before we fell. He loved and knew us first, long before we ever knew Him. He appeared in our life so that He could dismantle what the devil had built. And He became like us so we could be like Him.

Jesus didn’t just take our place. He gave us His. We have His life, His name, His words, His authority, and His promise because He was obedient to the Cross. It shows God’s faithfulness from the Cross to the Grave to the Resurrection.

The same faithfulness and obedience of Jesus to the Cross equips us to walk in Him.
