Psalm 95:2 says, Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!

Thanksgiving and praise doesn’t depend on our situation or our circumstances.  It doesn’t depend on if we feel like it or not. Giving thanks and praise is due to the fact that God is good to us and His mercy toward us endures forever. 

Thanksgiving and praise are an act of our will. We choose to thank Him. We have a choice. The Lamb of God paid for and gave us the right to choose.

Hebrews 13:15 says, Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.

We don’t wait until we’re in a good mood, feel good, have more money or a better job to give thanksgiving to God.  Giving thanks to God is what will get us there.

There is no better day than today to be joyful in the Lord and to offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise.
