Revelation 1:8, 17-18 says,  I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.  Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.  I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of  Hades and of Death. 

This is what Easter is all about. Jesus is alive forevermore. He was dead but He now lives and He has the keys of hell and death. The heart of this wonderful truth is that Jesus has broken the power of death over us for all who will come to a place of understanding and faith.

Jesus says I'm Alpha and Omega. That means the beginning and the ending. We know He is the beginning. He's the Creator, Almighty God. Everything comes from Him.

Let’s look at the Omega part, the ending. That means He is the end of something. He is the beginning of life and the end of death. And that's what we're celebrating, Easter—the fact that He is the "end of death." Hallelujah!!
