The New Year January 3, 2022

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.

We’re about to start a new year, 2022. In the world, people make resolutions to start fresh, aim for a new goal, or make a new plan for their life.

But Christians living by faith trust God to show us the plan for our life.

He implemented a plan designed just for us. He gave us His best: His Spirit (the best Gift), His Word (the Book of Instruction for our life), His Name (the Name that will overcome anything).

He gave us dominion and authority over everything because He knew we would need it.  He gave us His peace, strength, grace and joy to carry it out.

Lord God, who am I that I would not trust You? It was all because of love.

So, surely we can have faith in our God (our Father, our Friend, our Savior, our Lord and our Soon Coming King).

So, surely we can trust the One who gave us life, breath and everything we could ever desire.

So, surely we can believe when we pray He will answer.

So, surely we can believe He is our unlimited, unfailing, faithful source of our supply.

So, surely we have no qualms about forgiving, thinking right, talking right and acting right.

So, surely goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our life and we will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.

It’s all summed up in one word – Love.

The love of God that the Holy Spirit of God placed in our hearts when we were born again makes this possible.

So, surely living by faith in a Father that gave us life and all provision is easy for the New Year.

Happy New Year
