I want to encourage you.

Proverbs 18:21 says, “That life and death is in the power of the tongue.” So, if we want our future to be good and full of godliness – we will have to choose life and speak the Word. We have to speak what God says about us instead of what the situation says. We have to speak what agrees with the Word over ourselves. To say things that are useless, unnecessary and hurtful will destroy us. We can’t kill the plan God has for us with negative talk. We have to allow God to use our mouths instead of the devil so we can have the victory that God wants us to have in Him.

Our thoughts have to be controlled every day (2 Corinthians 10:5). That’s why we have to put the Word in our heart and have a renewed mind. Our thoughts affect our mood, our thoughts affect our attitude, and our thoughts will determine our actions. All these won’t change until our thoughts change. The best way to interrupt a bad thought is to start speaking the Word and think on good things (Philippians 4:8). We have to keep our mind on God (Colossians 3:1-2). Our mind set has to be prepared ahead of time to be ready for the enemy.

And what all this comes to is we must continually fill ourselves up with the Word of God. It’s life, peace, strength, wisdom, everything we need to lead life and be a success at it. When we make a mistake, repent, forgive ourselves and go on with our purpose. We know every day won’t be a picnic, but knowing that God loves us and is for us is everything. We can do whatever we need to do because God is with us, no exceptions.
