Words Of The Bible July 11, 2022

Isaiah 55:10-11 says, “For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, And do not return there, But water the earth, And make it bring forth and bud, That it may give seed to the sower And bread to the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It shall not return to Me void,
But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing                  for which I sent it.

Rain and snow have a purpose. The purpose of water is to make things “bud and flourish” to bring things to life.

In our lives, when we are watered with the Word of God it’s as if rain is pouring down on us, just like plants we draw in the water. We grow and flourish. How can just words do this?

God said at creation, “Let there be light,” and there was light.” God said to Abraham, “I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you” Abraham’s descendants numbered in the millions.

God made us in His likeness and image. His gave us His words & the authority to us them.

The Bible is not just words it’s the Word of God. God said the words of my mouth, “Will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

We’ve read other books or articles. Didn’t the words you read have a purpose? Aren’t they meant to inform you or persuade you in some way?

God’s Words have purpose. The purpose of His words is to provide an abundant life; wealth, health, success, salvation to the lost, comfort to the hurting & peace in crisis.

Surround yourself with these words of purpose! Use them to grow in your faith and your knowledge of the Lord. Use them to fight off the devil. Use them to encourage a fellow brother or sister. Use them as you witness to a stranger in sin. Rain God’s Spirit down upon them that He would make them alive through Christ.
